Chisholm Free Press receives Immediate Needs Fund grant

January 5, 2026 — Chisholm Free Press was selected as a recipient of an Immediate Needs Fund grant from Tiny News Collective, a national network supporting independent and community-centered news organizations.

The grant provides operational support to help early-stage newsrooms meet urgent needs as they build sustainable reporting infrastructure. The fund is supported by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. Chisholm Free Press was one of 20 newsrooms chosen for this opportunity and will use the funding to prepare for its public launch in 2026.
